I am entering my 53rd year as a Realtor®. I was licensed in 1972 and then got my Broker license in 1982. I was also licensed as an Auctioneer in 1980 through 1998. I have been the Ross County Realtor of the Year three times and was awarded the Ohio Realtor of the Year in 1995 and the Ohio Realtor Distinguished Award in 2007 and the Lifetime Achievement Award in 2024. I have chaired nine state committees and have been active in sales my entire career. I have been President of Scioto Valley Realtors® three times and have been honored to serve in the position. Helping families find their dream home is what motivates me to continue in this business. I have owned my own business, Carnes Realty, in the past but today I am happy as a Realtor® at ERA Martin & Associates.
My community activities include Chair of the Ross County Republican Party for twenty-two years; three terms on Chillicothe City Council; Board of Directors of Ross County Board of Elections; President of Chillicothe Rotary and a member of Open Door Church. My children, seven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and one great- great grandchild are the delight of my life and my greatest blessings.
